I'm looking on expireddomains.net and I see some domains I want to buy. I'm very surprised that they cost as low as they do - really good exact match domains for $12 right now with only 6 days left. So I bid $30 bucks. Last time I did this, someone waited until there was a few seconds left and then outbid me - so I'll be ready this time.

The domain age is from 2013 and it has a PR of 2 which kind of raises a red flag. It makes me wonder if this domain is in the Google sandbox. Is there any way to find out? I just ran it on majesticseo.com and it only showed up with 12 back links - which makes me wonder how it has a PR of 2 when it's only 1 year old or less. What kind of research can I do on domains to make sure they are good to go?

    1. Check the CF/TF numbers?
    2. Check what shows up when you run the "info:domain" and "site:domain" queries in google.
    3. Check whether the back links are spammy
    4. Check the site content in wayback archive
