    Hi!
Got a pretty much basic Question.

1- Are sandbox & blacklisted two different things?

How to check if a domain is blacklisted or not in G.

I purchased a 10 years old domain and built a WP blog on it. Built 1000 BLs to it. Now it is indexed and site:mydomain.com returns 8 results. But it is not ranking for the specific KW. Not in top 1000...

How do I know if my domains is blacklisted or not?

    Bk...

Is the keyword competitive? What type of backlinks?

KW is not very competitive. You could say it is medium competition.

    Here are some figures:
KW: 3.3 million results w/o quotes
    "KW": 448K results w/ quotes
    intitle "KW": 113K results
    allintitle: "KW": 57K results

    What you think?

If you have 900 article backlinks and you're not ranking something might be up. If those are forum backlinks, keep going and getting more.

For my bigger sites, I manually write articles, get them approved, link SB blog comments to the articles, and then link profile backlinks to the blog comments. If it's a small site you can probably skip some steps, but I've only managed to rank one site ever with only forum backlinks.

G doesn't really blacklist, they just remove your site from their search index... to check this type this in the G**gle search field:

    site:yoursite.com

if you get a result then you have not been deindexed.

Sandbox is different, they will put you way back in their index if you have added a lot of links too fast, it sort of digests it for a while, then adds you back in the serps where you should be.

I've got a related question. I'm interested in buying a domain name that was first created in 2007. I used archive.org to take a look at the previous content, and it was full of keyword stuffing. It looked a bit spammy and it wouldn't surprise me if it was deindexed. The domain expired in early 2009 and hasn't been used since. How can I find out if this site was deindexed? I know about the "site:..." trick to figure it out if you're indexed, but what you do when the domain has disappeared for two years?

Furthermore, if it was deindexed, is two years enough time for Google to "forget" about the previous owner and allow the domain back on to its search listings?

Should I take my chances and buy it? Any advice would be greatly appeciated.
