    Hi. This may sound silly but i can't find the option to change the main image on the home page of this template. The deer right in the middle.

    The template can be found here: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/shell-lite

    Anyone know how i can change it? I've checked theme options etc and i can't find an option for it.

    Greatly appreciated, thanks!

    Zuck.

    Admin -> Appearance -> Editor -> front-page.php ->
    Find this code:
    Code:
    <img src="<?php echo get_stylesheet_directory_uri(); ?>/images/featured-image.jpg" width="440" height="300" alt="" />
    Change to:
    Code:
    <img src="<?php echo get_stylesheet_directory_uri(); ?>/images/yYOURIMAGENAME.JPG" width="440" height="300" alt="" />
    <-- YOUR IMAGE SHOULD BE PLACED IN /images/ folder of your theme

    or

    Code:
    <img src="http://directLINKtoIMAGE.com/IMAGEname.jpg" width="440" height="300" alt="" />
    <-- use this option if you host image on external host, like imgur, or if you upload your image through media upload option in WordPress.

    On your WP dashboard go to Appearance>Editor>style.css(once you click Editor, style.css should be the default file opened).

    Scroll down and look for any url's to an image. When you find one, open cPanel in a separate window and go to your theme's "images" folder. Look for the image file name you saw in the "style.css" file. If that particular image url is not the one you're looking for, keep scrolling your "stlye.css" and look for others.

    When you find the image you want to get rid of, change the image file name in "style.css"

    Now upload the new image having the exact file name that you put in your "style.css"to your theme's "images" folder.

    That won't work as image is called in php file, and not as a property in css file.

    I believe OP has solved the problem.

    I've changed numerous "theme dependant" images solely by editing style.css. That's not to say that this particular image isn't called in the .php file.

    If it is a logo image, that is usually changed in style.css
