How can I change the 60-character-long-title in Google? I'm using All in One SEO Pack plugin and the title in there is different to the displayed by Google. It seems that Google has picked something entirely random to display my title in the search results.

    Thanks!

When did Google last visit your site? Maybe ping it to force them to give it another crawl.

Is there any feature in Webmaster Tools to "force" G. to crawl my page?

You could install sitemaps.XML which will auto submit for you. Or you could ditch all in one for yoast which has site maps built in. I find it easier to get clean titles with yoast

I did install the sitemaps.xml plugin and submitted a copy in Webmaster Tools.

Okay so I take it you have filled in the home page description in all in one. Also ticked the enable plugin box and ticked the re write titles box. Its a while since I used all in one and it may be slightly updated but thats how I used to do it before I switched to Yoast.
