With the new layout facebook is moving away from tabs and making everything "profile like" with the different apps on the left under the fanpage picture. I am wondering how to change the small icon next to the FBML app link to something custom. I have seen it done on other pages and cannot figure out how.

    TIA

When you set up the app on developers that is the "icon" image. Just upload the image you want and it will show.

Thanks, I know how to do that for an app, but this is for a fanpage not an app.

What Lawton is saying is, you dont need to use the FBML App, just create your own app, which you claim you know how to do, then add your icon.

If you are using the FBML app, well, that is their app, not your, so you have no right to change the icon, so you cant. Would you want us to change your icon on your app to an icon we want? No.

FBML app is for those that have little computer knowledge, it is an instant app. It only benefits their app. So, create your own app and you will reap the benefits. Stop being lazy.

It was (and is) a valid question. I went through the trouble of registration just to let you know that your response irritated me, "Chrarles".

'Stop being lazy'?? Come on. If you didn't have anything useful to contribute, you could have passed on to something more productive instead of taking the time out of your day to talk down to someone who did nothing to warrant it.

Now that that's off my chest & we're now guilty of the same thing, I'll be going. Off to find a solution to the original problem. Good day.

Actually this kind of things always happen in BHW and i'm not surprise with it. Sometimes i do want to to comment on their attitude but i saw in some cases you'll end up getting screwed by them.

No doubt they are smart and genius people in this forum and when they are tooo smart, they tend to look at those simple question as something that is stupid and shouldn't be ask in here. But one thing that smart people didn't realize is that not everyone born equal with the same level of IQ. And we are not smart when the day we born either...

If i'm not mistaken there is a section call Jr.Vip and this section is for advance people so that they wont need to entertain the silly noobish question since all of them are on the same page....well i'm not smart yet to join :scratchch

    Lets put that aside...

    OP,
Yes you need your own apps in order to create that icon. You cant do it in FBML as it is something that is belongs to Facebook. iFrame is something like your own hosted website, if a normal website we have favicon so it is the same but this iFrame favicon or icon will be in your facebook fanpage.

    Please check the screenshot:

This is where you set/upload the icon.

This is where it will appear.

Well..you should be asking 'how the hell am i going to create an iFrame'.
The concept is your own website design by you in any software such as Nvu (i use this) and the content will be iFrame to the Fanpage.

You need to create and Apps for this to happen, dont worry about the word 'create' as to me it is more to 'register' and fill up some particular and you are good to go. I also take some video tutorial from YT in case you need a step by step tutorial on how to do it.

    Hope this helps!
