I am so confused about this. There are so many things you need to watch out for, like you need to make sure the domain is not deindexed, make sure the domain doesn't lose its age after you've bought it, etc. etc.
I have gone through past threads but I am still not clear.
How the hell am I supposed to (safely) buy aged/high PR/high DA domains? (the purpose would be to create my own private blog network)
Please dont tell me "just go to expireddomains.net"

go to web archive find the domain age and use domain tools to find if the domain has been dropped previously hope this might help you.

There are professionals on this forum who will perform due diligence for you. Basically you inquire about a domain name you've found and they'll let you know if the domain is completely wasted or worth it. Of course you should buy this kind of due diligence from trustworthy professionals, or they may jump in and buy the domain ahead of you.

I appreciate that, but I want to learn it myself.
I want to know how to evaluate a domain, how to make sure its age remains, what things to watch out for.

There is a private network course I used when I was learning, I think its $127. But it covers all the latest checking of doamins using moz and majestic seo and various other tools as PR is also outdated.

It takes you through checking backlinks and their power etc.
