The reason why I want to start this thread is because I see it so often that members post flaming messages when there is a method shared in the downloads section that's being sold sold for a very low price.
They laugh at it and ask questions like, "Why would the author sell his method so cheap if it would really work so well as he claims?" Well, of course they are right in some cases.
On the other hand...
I am sure it's not always the author's intention, but it's actually a good idea to sell something valuable for a very low no-brainer price. It's the easiest way to build BUYERS lists very fast. And once on your list you can start to promote related higher priced products.
I do this myself from time to time (the lowest sales price was $3), and more often than not I make some nice extra profit from my efforts.
Of course that will only work if the product you want to sell has really some value. Then your buyers list will be surprisingly responsive to your email promotions. The list size can be even significantly smaller than "freebie seekers" lists.
Go ahead and try it... Create (outsource or modify some PLR material) a small report, set a very low sales price and promote your sales page aggressively. You might be ending up making more profit in the long run than you thought possible.
