HI BHW members,

I've joined this forum recently and have learnt a lot from you all right here.... I've come to an extent where i've set up my own affiliate product review blog and i owe it all this forum.... You've provided me with the knowledge and tools required to do my keyword research and reach to this level....

My next step would to build up backlinks to my blog.... and im pretty confused about social bookmarking, article marketing, link wheel, RSS submissions..... it's all hazy up there....

I would appreciate the experienced guiding me on the best way to build up backlinks for a newbie......

Thanks for your support once again & appreciate the great work here

Do them all. Become "unhazy" by reading how to do it and then doing it. There are plenty of tutorials to read or you can just skip it all and pay for the services.

chriswpl09,

To make your backlinks look "normal" to the search engines, you are going to need backlinks from every platform you listed. It won't look right if all your backlinks are from social bookmarking or articles. It sounds confusing at first, but learn it little by little and it will pay off.

I'd start with social bookmarking. Before going out and buying a product like Bookmarking Demon, use something like Onlywire to get the feel for how social bookmarks work. You'll have to manually create accounts on social bookmarking sites and then Onlywire will auto submit your sites.

Then move onto Web 2.0 properties (used in Link Wheels), where you create a free account on a site like Tumblr and post an article with your link in it. Some of these sites have authority in G's eyes and will get on the front page of G and rank better than your site. That's good because it will push your competitors off the front page and you may get a little traffic to your site. Read Howie Schwartz's stuff for detailed info on how to use Web 2.0. There are lots of these sites and you can find the lists on BHW. There are products out there like SENUKE that automate the article submission process to around 15 of these sites and also do social bookmarking, but it is expensive.

Articles are the most time consuming in my opinion. There are some great places to submit articles like ezinearticles and goarticles, but you have to write unique articles for each site and manually submit them. Now there are services that will automate the whole process, but again it costs money and you have to keep producing a steady stream of articles to make the expense worth while.

Then there are website directories and RSS directories. I haven't really messed with these since I have read the value of the links is diminishing. If I ever do either, I will probably pay someone from the BHW services for sale section to do it.

Blog commenting, I do it on occasion but not often. Very time consuming, but some claim it works well. Look at Angela's backlink service, her site is heavily backlinked with blog comments and she has a goarticle that is #1 for the keyword backlinks.

If you have the money, I'd pay for a few of the backlinking services offering on BHW. I've spent about 100 dollars and gotten a few hundred social bookmarks and 60 Web 2.0 properties set up. The good part is that it is easy, the bad part is that you don't have any control over those properties, so you can't go back and make additions or changes.

For my sites, I've done Links Wheels, articles Web 2.0 properties, article marketing, social bookmarking, forum profiles and set up profiles on Web 2.0 sites. After 2 years, I finally got #1 in Google for my keyword. Yahoo site explorer says I have 249 backlinks, but I have built over 1000.

I'm sure there are easier and faster ways of getting backlinks, but I've had no mentor to teach me and I've had to learn the hard way. So be patient learn a little at the time and note what gives you results. The way Google values backlinks changes over time, so what was effective 6 months ago may be worthless today. Just have plenty of backlinks from as many different sources as possible.

movieman - I appreciate you giving such a detailed response on how i should go about building backlinks

I have this problem as well. I think i've built around 50-75 backlinks to my site and yahoo shows only 17-18 and google shows only 1. I have around 4 approved E-zine articles. My question is why isn't google recognizing them? Or is it that i've been sandboxed?

Your reply will be appreciated...

I';d loive to know what is the easiest and fastest way to get low/moderate keywords top of google. Yes I have odne it...but from a wide variety of link building methods. Not one method. IS there one?

Plus you here soooo muh B*S* out there. Do not do this. Only do that....then someone else says B*S* I have done that and ranked 1. Drives me nuts.

chriswpl09,

Google is known for not showing all your backlinks. It is part of their security to prevent people from figuring out how to manipulate search engine results. So Google may know about every backlink you have, they just aren't going to let you know. Don't worry about it, just keep building backlinks. You will know if it is working or not by seeing your site go higher in Google's search engine results, it may take weeks to see results so be patient.

If you've been sandboxed, your site will not show up at all in Google search. My site was hovering around #5 or 6 for months then fell to #385 overnight for some unkown reason. I just kept adding links, after a month, I was at #13 then a few weeks later, jumped to #1 and have been there for over a month now. I think one of the things hurting my site was having Ebay listings on it. For over a year I was bouncing between #20 and #6 in G. Then Ebay changed it's rules and I had to take it off my site. And BAM! #1 real fast, almost overnight.

Maybe I should have waited until I had some decent traffic on my site before I monetized it or at least until my site was in on the front page of G. If I had waited, it probably would have speeded up my rise in the search results. To give you an example, my site started out around #185 and it took months to get to the front page of G, but it had Ebay listings on it from the start. I should have waited until I was on the front page before adding ads or Ebay. The keyword I targeted has 8000 searches per month, when I was #6 I was getting 10- 15 visitors a day, now #1, I get as many as 50 per day.

Now I have adsense on the site. I don't make as much from adsense ( about 20 cents a day, from an average of 15 visitors/day ) but the whole purpose of building the site was to learn what it takes to get on the front page of Google.

Now I have started a new site that targets keywords that pay $10 + per click. Haven't gotten to far with it yet, still building backlinks. But I have found the most important thing - BACKLINKS, BACKLINKS, BACKLINKS - get them slow and steady, from many sources, don't worry if they are do-follow or no-follow or if the backlinks are from sites not related to your niche, just get'em.

stressfree,

Yes there are lots of people that say this or that is BS, it didn't work for them. But thye don't bother to tell you exactly what they did, their keywords, site SEO, content, how long they did it, ....ect. Most people want a magic pill that gives instant results. If it doesn't work for them overnight, it's crap and they jump on the next "miracle" product. That is why you see so many products for sale guaranteeing #1 in Google for $47. They are selling hope, if they could get to #1 in G, would they sell this product for $47?, not likely. Unless you can hook up with someone that has been there and succeeded ( good luck, those guys keep their mouths shut to keep their methods from being stolen and saturated ) the only thing you can do is experiment.

Take Howie Schwartz and Web 2.0. He selling his personal coaching on how to use Web 2.0 properties to get on the front page of G and make money. And then shows results of how in Apprentice his students sold over $57k in halloween costumes. What he doesn't tell you is that there were over 20 students building sites, the commissions (the money they got to keep) they generated were around $6k. Now Howie kept half the commissions - so spread the rest of the $3k across 20 students who spent hours and hours builidng Web 2.0 properties, podcasts, social bookmarks, and posting videos.

Howie and his associates got tens of thousands of dollars for teaching the course. His students didn't even make enough to pay for the course. If Howie could have make more money using his system, he would have never sold it. So just remember, anytime someone is sell you the latest miracle, it is only because they have already milked it for all it was worth, it has lost effectiveness, and now they are selling it.

Well, why not read haRRo's post that have been stickied into this category? It's a good place to start determining what you want to do.

The best way to build backlink is through xrumr. I got many pages ranking 1 after 1 million backlinks with interlinks.

Thanks - you've answered a lot of questions for me :). I'll continue with the process of buliding backlinks

teguh - could you tell me what is xrumr... this sounds new to me

No, Xrumer is not new...here is the Wiki definition for you...it's quite expensive though I believe.

XRumer is a Windows program that posts forum spam with the aim of boosting search engine rankings. It has been claimed that the program is able to bypass techniques commonly used by many websites to deter automated spam, such as account registration, CAPTCHAs, and e-mail activation before posting. The program makes heavy use of a database of known open proxies in an attempt to make it more difficult for administrators to block posts.

In addition, the software can avoid the suspicions of forum administrators by first registering to make a post in the form of a question which mentions the spam product ("Where can I get...?"), before registering another account to post a spam link which mentions the product. The side effect of these innocent-looking posts is that helpful forum visitors may search on a search engine (e.g. Google) for the product and themselves post a link to help out, thus bolstering the product's Google stats without falling afoul of forum posting policies.

According to The Register, the latest version of XRumer can defeat CAPTCHAs of Hotmail and GMail. This enables the software to create accounts with these free email services, which are used to register in forums that it posts to.[1] [2]

Most spam attacks on forums generally occur in waves, and the software will not spam at full speed initially. Thus, a good strategy for limiting the damage of such attacks is to target new members who have random series' of alphanumeric characters for their usernames. The multiple instances of a spam bot will have obvious similarities in their email addresses (and will usually be random themselves), allowing members that match the profile of other spam bots to be banned before they even post. As mentioned - proxies are used, making IP bans ineffective, however it is possible to block the posting of threads containing certain text, or links to a certain site. Once a product or site has been spammed, it can be blocked, preventing the software from successfully uploading its payload.

i think i saw this in the members download section so you can get it for free.:D

Ahh no, if you find a cracked Xrumer chances are it's either full of malware or that old it's not even effective anymore.

BTW, a questions for anyone who's got the current Xrumer. Does it do backlinks faster than 10 per second?

I have a step by step course for backlink building if your interested
Its free

FYI - Xrumer is on BHW's "Do Not Share" list.

I had a site jump from page 6 to page 2 just by removing my adsense from it. I built and published the site with adsense from the start but when I did some updates to the site I removed the adsense temporarily and this caused, it seemed, the jump up the rankings.
I had not been told adsense could affect rankings so never thought of it. Does anyone know why this occurs? Is it because G thinks it's just a monetizing site?

- ok gues what is the best tool you use it and you rank high in serp ?
- my site 5 years old how much backlinks can i builld by exrumer and i can be in safe side ?

To be honest i think it's a case of Post hoc ergo propter hoc. ;)

Thanks for the latin lesson( I am still struggling with english lol) but I have heard of other people jumping rankings because of removal of affiliate codes, adsense etc and I have heard people say they don't add these things until the site has become established. So I am not sure it is just coincidence, I would like to know for sure.
