What are some Tools or techniques you use to be totally invisible online??

    Some i know of includes

-Anonymous proxy's (Hidemyass VPN is Awesome)

-turn off or scramble geographic location using applications.

But what about being %100 anonymous?

I use a mac and sometimes there are personal identifiers, like mac address and I'm pretty sure something similar for windows users, that can be tracked.

What are some techniques that help with Invisibility?

    Linux is your friend.

Here some of the things I can recommend.

-Remove onboard NIC card replace with USB Wifi
    -Remove hard drive
-Run distro from Linux Live USB (google "tails" ) and encrypt partition to store VM data using "Truecrypt" on volume
-VPN/proxy on VPS with no Logs
-Use prepaid cards to purchase hosting

Never log into hosting with home IP

HideMyAss has cheerfully admitted to sharing user info with the Feds. No way in hell would I use them because I don't know where they draw the line on what they will or will not share with anyone who asks. The fact that they are keeping log files as long as they do tells me they aren't a good choice.
