    Home Page:
There are two ways of making money blogging, one more profitable than the other. These are the two possibilities: you either get paid for allowing other business owners to advertise on your site or you can include the blog in one of the many affiliate programs you?ll promoting. You can use your blog as part of an affiliate program, which involves promoting the products or services of a specific business. You can increase the profitability of the ads on your blog by taking advertising into consideration when you design you site. One thing I notice about some blogs is that the fonts and colors used for the ads should be only slightly different from the rest of the page, without standing out. why? Because the more visible you make them, the more likely it is that they'll annoy the user, and the entire purpose of your blog is to get people to spend QUALITY TIME on the page. See ya?ll next week! Holla

Wrong, the entire purpose of a blog is to get the visitor to click through the adsense, or the affiliate link, or the CPA offer, the blog serves no other purpose but to entice the visitor to click thru, so that the blog owner gets paid.

I think that may change soon - read about google caffiene and the fact that google will start to analyze statistics such as bounce rate, page views, time spent on site etc. This is to see if the site is valuable to the visitor and if it is it will then be given a higher position in the search engines. Soon the days of just building backlinks to a made for adsense site will be long gone - your site will need VALUE to rank and hence get traffic.

What about the people that are actually providing quality information like Lisa's 2createawebsite or problogger? come on now. There are other reasons people make blogs for besides getting as much money are possible out of gullible idiots. :tee:

Those blogs providing quality information are just willing to gain followers that soon or later will click their links, offers or whatever, so yes, finally it's all about the money :p

I agree with this one. Google has already analyzed statistics and bounce rate is confirmed by many webmasters as one of many ranking factors (read on SEOmoz and also had experience on this), so I personally think visitor's quality time on site does matter.
