How to block twitter crawler bot from registering in traffic stats?

    In crak this hugely inflates my real traffic count causing the epc stats to go out the window.

    I was able to block it with a cloaking script but I wondered if there is a simpler way since that used quite a few redirects and I thought that is overkill if there is a simpler way as the real users might be put off by so many hops.

    u want the Twitter crawler to be able to crawl ur site but not to appear in ur stats? if the answer is yes what tracker are u using?

    To filter out bot and spider traffic if you are using Google Analytics, go to your Admin settings. Under the View panel, you'll find View Settings. Toward the bottom of the options, just before Site Search Settings, you'll find a small heading for Bot Filtering with a checkbox that reads: Exclude all hits from known bots and spiders...
