I'm sure this has been brought up before but I was unable to find a previous thread (if there is one) in regards to this.

How can I ensure that my files hosted on AmazonS3 don't get indexed in Google? I'm finding a blank index.html file doesn't work.

    Thanks in advance.

Why would you consider having them not indexed so important?
Isn't your actual target protecting your bucket from s3 ripper and other downloaders? Amazon has quite thorough instructions on locking the bucket and providing self-expiring links for authorized users.

Secure your ACL and use expiring links.
