So I had a little incident on my wordpress.org site yesterday, and I want to block a specific email from being allowed to register an account ever in the future.

I know, I know the person can simply use a different email, and get around it. But no matter, I want to have a way to block specific emails from being allowed to register. Over time as spammers/scammers come and go I guess I'll have a pretty good list of emails being blocked on my site that belong to spammers/scammers, and I'll sleep better.

I tried the Ban Hammer plugin, and I tried looking at some codes online and stuff, but there's nothing.

    Can anyone help?

I think that this here is what I need, but I don't know how to make that code work for me.

Go to your admin - settings - discussion and scroll down until you find Comment Blacklist, then in the box add email or url in there and hit save. It will be marked as spam automatically

Might be better just to block their IP in your .htaccess file. They can always use another email. IP blocking spammers is the most effective way.

Here's a generator to make it easy:

You can use the above method to block ip's also, spammers will just change ip's and emails, so whichever method isn't really going to stop them, the above method is wordpress's best option
