How to beat this competitor ?

Right now my website is on the second spot for a competitive keyword, my competitor's website (PR3 and 3 years old) have 5600 backlinks, majority from blog comments, mine (three months old and PR0) have 850 quality backlinks from different sources, how can i outrank him ?

Are all your links directed to a single page or are you linking towards multiples pages in your website?

It has worked really good for me to set up 5-10 articles, keyword rich and well written. All of them ONLY point to your juice page and don't link anywhere else. Start back linking those articles and you can get some pretty nice results.

Some people claim to have good results by using LinkPushing.net and pushing SB links to Tier2 sites of the Pyramid.
 
Besides scrapebox what other links have you been able to get?
 
put a decent article on ezinearticles with link back to your site. make squidoo lenses and hubpages with links to your site AND to your ezine article for added linkjuice

In the beginning i linked to many in-pages articles and got them on the first page with a little work, after that i focused my work in getting links to the homepage only so i ranked my website on 2nd spot last week (earning more then 120 usd/day now) but i don't have links pointing to the homepage from those articles. Should i try that ?

I use SB to comment manually on high PR blogs, never done a blast.
Links from AMR, bookmarks, web 2.0, High pr blogs, many edu links, High PR forum profiles...
 
create a speed trap. Youtube videos, Google Places, etc... anything that will show up before the standard organic results. If it is really worth it, you can even get a Google Ad, joila, #1.

Other wise, keep up the quality backlinking at a constant rate, with plans on exceeding your competitors 5600, and be prepared to diversify your site to gain PR. And if all fails, domain age will settle over time, statistical fact.

Never forget to promote the social sharing of your site , as natural link growth has especially become more important since the Panda update.

Of course!
The linking structure in your website is as important as your backlinks.

Also, if you keep on building article after article and backlinking those articles then your Domain Rank will go up and (thus) your whole site will go up. Why do you think a new wikipedia post (with 0 backlinks) is always in #1 for almost any keyword? Because their other pages get massive backlinks and Big G gets to see this domain as very important.

And by the way, you did a really good job getting to number 2 in such a short time :).

You are right. It has been a while since i updated my website with articles, i will take action and fix this and linkback to my homepage.
By the way your service is outstanding (99.9 % captacha success rate). I am using it.

I go with quality not number and i can tell you that i outranked many many pages that have way more backlinks then my website have.
 
Related to internal linking: had an article on pos 12 (title, of course) for about 2-3 weeks. Have not done any link building on it but yesterday wrote another article on the same blog, with an anchored link to the article on pos 12. Checked today - jumped on position 5.

Now, tell me internal linking is not important. :)

PS: of course, a link push is a must now! :D

different meta title / descr / keyword every page on your site...

Keyword in page URL, title, first sentence, last sentence, few times in body
