    Description:
For those who have multiple projects set up on Followliker, you should think about backing up your work incase your PC/hard drive decide to take a dump on you. It's frustrating enough to have to reinstall Windows let alone reinstalling all your programs again.

Here is an easy way to backup your FL folders or any folders you want really. There is no need to install a backup software, if you are running Windows. RoboCopy comes preinstalled and is a great little backup tool to use. In a nutshell, RoboCopy is not like any other paid 3rd party backup software. It backups up your folders, 1:1. Simply put, it doesn't create a zip file or a Windows proprietary extension. The file is an exact copy of what you want RoboCopy to copy. Plus, when you set RoboCopy to backup on a daily basis, it will not 're-backup' all the files again, but only new/edit files will be copy. Less load on your PC. Let's get started if this interest you.

    Setup:
Folders to backup: data(hidden), db_dump(hidden), and Follow Liker (projects in My Documents)
    Backup time: Daily at 7pm
Note: The folders were not randomly picked. It is suggested by Follow Liker support to backup these folders. You can view the details by visiting FL user's guide-> FAQ section. The backup time can be setup to whenever you want RoboCopy to run. You will just need to change the settings using the steps below.

Backup works more efficient if you have another hard drive other than your main (C drive to use as your destination backup location. If you backup your folders in the same drive the source folders were in and that drive fails, ALL files are lost.

    Create path and folders
Download the templates files from here.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/v5h91ynzt531mzz/Robocopy.zip?dl=0
    Unzip the folder to 'C:\'
Open 'robocopy.bat' in notepad or any text editor. Edited the lines containing 'I:\backup\followLiker\data' to whatever destination drive you are using and or folder names. Make sure the ending destination folder name exist.
So If you are using 'I:\backup\followLiker\data', make sure 'data' folder exist as well. Do this to all 3 lines.
Don't edit lines containing 'C:\%appdata%\Follow Liker\mdb\bin\data' These folder locations are correct by default.
For the 'robocopy.vbs', you don't need to edit anything if you copied the zip folder to 'C:\'. If not, open the file up and change the drive to match.

    Create A Windows Task
Goto start-> type 'task' -> select 'task scheduler' from above
    Click 'Create Task...'

    Under General-
    Name: Backup
Check 'Run only when user is logged on'
    Check 'Run with highest privileges'

    Under Triggers-
Begin the task: On a schedule
    Settings: Daily
    Start (today) - 7:00pm
    Recur every: 1 days
    Check 'enabled

    Under Actions-
    Select 'New'
    Action: Start a program
    Settings: 'C:\Robocopy\robocopy.vbs'

    Under Conditions-
    Leave as default

    Under Settings-
    Leave as default

    Under History-
    Leave as default

Make sure to save the 'backup' task when done and exit task scheduler.

That should do it. If all was configured correctly, Windows will backup the 3 folders every day at 7pm automatically provided the PC is turned on before 7pm.
For the first backup, verify that the specify folders have been backup successfully. You can view the log for any errors, if you are having trouble. 'C:\Robocopy\robocopy_log.txt' Like I mentioned above, this how to isn't strictly for Followliker, you can backup any other folders if you like. All you need to do is add another line in 'robocopy.bat' and change the necessary path to match.
