Not sure thath I write in the appropriate section, so moderator pls correct it if I wrong.
Also, sorry for my english. If that - it's Google Translator's fault :).

The purpose of this topic is to understand how IT specialist can be a useful for community, including that it brought at least some income.

    First, about me.

I am a man from the russian region 15 years ago moved to Moscow.
Now i've got an apartment in the property, 2 children, and cool wife (a bookkeeper).
There are no friends because I'm an introvert. Even if I want to find friends apart from the pursuit of money as usual (which already did not need to survive), but it is impossible for me.
Since childhood, I had health problems (2 times a year I was in the hospital for 3-4 months, including almost was not in the 1st and the 2nd class), and hence suffer any sport can not.

At the time, I was Moneymaker. It was having totally passive income in link selling + pharma in the amount of about 10k+ dollars per month. So, I lived quite vivid life:
    * 4 times a year around the world trip,
    * Pair of wintering in Thailand,
    * United States, Britain, Europe trips and so on.
    * Six months did not work and did nothing,
    * Etc. Etc.. Etc.. Pleasures of life.
    In general, seen a lot.

I am an ex-developer (more than 15 years ago, I developed projects in php, asp, asp.net), but for 15 years have not written a single line. But I can organize of work of developers and talk at their technical language well.

More than a month over the same projects is extremely difficult to work - routine just kills. So I always devirsifitsiroval classes: a couple of months - seo, a couple of months - moneymaking, a couple of months - startup - and so the circle.

Particularly remarkable things are not achieved, but the family has always enough to live and on a rainy day 20k$ always strewn in bank.

Programming 15 years ago I exchanged for seo. First, US (working and gourmet markets, and employment), - then I left completely in Russian tempted by the complete absence of competition + freebie in achieving results).

About 10 years ago, I began to experiment with the teams. First I hired a team from my hometown, and then - from the other. Many things happened, many things - not. Now I about an year developing a team in Moscow, with all the spices inhause (not to say that well, but hold on: there are a few large customers, a business which we plow).

But for 15 years, so with all this seo and related disciplines tired that a year ago dismissed the grid of 150+ projects that came out of all the partnerships, sold the share of all start-ups, and just started to dig in the same area where a year and am.

Now I'm 35. Now I supervise as I can, try something of my own to develop small, but it's just an occupation that did not bring any joy - everything necessary to force myself to do from under the sticks.

Hobbies I kept looking, but it has not moved one iota in the last 7 years (and half Chinese language, and by 2-3 months of different workouts, and a trip to various countries to find themselves, and 2 months of training on Internet analyst and personal pro-coach of the United States, and a lot of other attempts - absolutely no progress).

In general, now I have no friends (except spouses), no hobbies, no favorite works.

For what purpose I write here?
Since I can not live for myself - I have to try to live for others, bringing them benefit.
Maybe this is my destiny. And perhaps not. In any case, until you try - you do not know will it work or not.

I appeal to you, and it and business society. Please help me.

Welcome any ideas on how I can in the IT industry to benefit: where to go, what to do, how can I help?

I hope I read it right.. I think what you should start with discipline...in all the things that you do hate doing e.g SEO or Coding or Other IM activities which one is you hate least...
start with that and I would suggest get a corporate job related to that it helps meeting people, learning stuff, earning money and discipline your life
and consider me your friend so you have one now

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

Thanks a lot for your answer. Yep, I have no discipline. But why do I need it? If there will be good job or activity - I'll do it. One of my problems is that I hate process. I accept result only. If there is no result - so there were no any activities.

We all want success...if we put things in lifestyle even things we don't like and do them in discipline with time we start to like them ...in the start they are difficult for us with time they start to become simple so we start to find them fun and interesting hence discipline is important more important then passion
