For 6 years I have tried to get a domain listed there, it's an authority site, clean, no spam, address and everything on there. For some reason I don't know it don't get listed there... what the f... is required to get your site listed there?

I have tried with a few new websites, it's to early to see if they get listed, is there any paid service or something so I can get in there?

    AND

How important do you consider it to be to get your money / authority site to be listed there?

It used to be tough to get to dmaz but now it's impossible as it looks like a dead dinosaur.
you can try to submit your sites but it looks like they don't even add new sites.

If the section dnt even have a moderator then there be no one to approve the listing, in that case u can try to apply to b an editor there, i did it to approve my own site .. there are no visible effect to ranking power from being dmoz listed tho

Okay, thank you for all your inputs... I can just see that most of our competition is listed there and the url from them to the competitor has a high CF and TF and I think it has some influence on their ranking :)

It is a shitty directory and the majority of the websites listed there are shitty. The question is, is it still worth trying?

BDW why on earth you're tryin so hard for DMOZ listing? There are so many other ways to boost ranking and authority. I think if you use those time in any other better way, it would be huge time saving.

Why not be the 'good uncle' and help get our site approved in your section?

    That would be helping.
