    I find this amazing that the keyword GARCINIA CAMBOGIA is now considered a trademarked keyword in;

    The USA
    UK

    This means that you cannot use this keyword for bidding purposes? I wonder who decided that. Its utter bullshit if you ask me.

    How can this be possible? Its like trademarking the word AIR, WATER, SOIL. WTF!

    Technically it's possible, the company which have first started producing garnicia cambogia as a weight loss supplement can ask for a copyright as they first find out that garnicia works good for weight loss ( at last they claim that :) ).

    So your saying no other company can use the words Garcinia Cambogia on their labels now? And what about all those other advertisers currently running ads using those keywords? It seems there is more than one advertiser doing it yet any new advertiser cant pick up that keyword? I dont see how its possible to copyright that keyword not when a million others are branding the products like that.

    Im going to file a complaint with the FTC and with Bing.

    Well you can always pay the rights and use them for your own good, but i'm recently noticing a lot of companies which are mixing ingredients to make a unique product, for example garnicia + acai + green tea. Weight loss is a huge industry and everyone is fighting for their peace of cake on every possible way.

    Yes you are right but there is no fucken way that bing can consider those keywords trademarked. Iv been running those keywords for over 8 months now all of sudden as of yesterday i cant? Yet, i see multiple ads running on bing for those keywords and i cant see how all of those people have trademarked the same keyword. Impossible! Something is wrong with this picture. Flawed!

    mikie, any update to your FTC complaint filing? This is quite ridiculous for sure, as it's a scientific name.
