    Introduction:

I think many here agree that the pomodoro technique is actually the easiest yet effective way to work constantly without distractions.

    Yet...

There is still this big problem about getting off the bed, usually in the summer I can leave the bed around 7am thats pretty good, but with the winter coming in, my shitty biological clock just shits on me and keep me in the bed till 9-10 and even 11am...wtf, and my free will in the early morning is not weak, but totally absent.

    knowing...
I am relatively young, and the young you are the more you sleep...
I am going to beat this fact and...

    The goal:

To sleep only 5h a day, from 00 to 05am, yeah, like cops do.

    Solutions going on:

    - Writing down a quick and easy Alarm Clock, the purpose of this alarm clock? That it can't be turned off, instead it will turn itself off after a fixed time, maybe 10-20 minutes, basically until the brain would never-evah be able to sleep again in that day.
    Cons: a big headache?

    - Using thin blankets/ let the windows open, the purpose is to exploit the cold to not letting the brain sleep more than he needs, the cold should be able to get the brain up and running faster.
    Cons: a Cold?

    Conclusions:

    Zzz...

I normally do a double somersault and two backflips out of my bed. That is how eager I am to start another day of spamming the internet.

Add exercise to your routine to get a deeper sleep. Also, you don't get a cold from being cold, it's from a virus. Stay away from sick people. However, if your not careful your could run down your immune system so that you are more prone to infection.

Why making your life so hard on you? I mean if you are doing good in IM, you should feel like a King and do whatever you feel like doing!!! In real world, no one gives a damn of what you do, when you wake up, bla bla bla!! ;)

If I can't get up in the morning it's usually because I have no interest or motivation to do so. There's nothing to look forward to motivate me. When I've worked on interesting projects for myself I've often worked till 3am and up at 6am - no alarm clock. Find your interesting project and you'll get up winter or summer no problems - otherwise have a nice snooze :)

My motivation to leave bed is approx 80cm tall, 14Kgs heavy and 18 months old.

I understand this is not the most cheaper and painless solution, but it works VERY WELL for me :D

I would NOT recommend 5 hours sleep. What ever time I go to bed, I give myself 8 hours. Then once that is up, I give myself 30 minutes (no longer) to snooze. Then have a large breakfast to get me through till supper in the evening. That way I am always motivated, have energy and get tons of work done!

Lmao. I am the exact same way. Half the time, I don't remember turning off the alarm.

Is there a need that you get up at 7am? Then just do so. I mean it's not rocket science or something. Get your lazy ass up and that's it :D
On the other hand, if there isn't really a need to get up that early.....I too would sleep longer.

I also wouldn't recommend to sleep only 5 hours. Sure it doesn't matter if one gets little sleep once in a while but it's not healthy to do it all the time. 6 hours sleep per night should be the minimum.

I'm one of those people that can just think about waking up at a certain time, and no matter how tired I am, I just wake up within a 15 minute window of that time. I've never had an alarm clock, though girlfriends and so forth have.

I just sleep untill I wake up. Some times I sleep 5 hours, other times I sleep 16 hours. On average I sleep 8-10 hours.

If you want to wake up sharp and not get sleepy again soon, best way is to get an adrenaline boost. Have a friend come over and beat the crap out of you while you sleep. After 4-5 times you ill wake up by yourself.

That being said you can also try increasing your daily light exposure and exercise. Also it is very helpful to get a lot of light into the room when you have to wake up, so keep the blinds open.

In the end the reason you dont wake up is because you dont have a schedule. Your body didn't got used to waking up and going to bed at fixed hours. Or maybe you don't sleep enough.
