How the f*ck do these "kid friendly" youtube channels get so many views??

I watched the fidget spinner one. It's crap imho but someone commented:

This was a funny skit! You guys are so hilarious!

Most comments seem to be from adults too. nearly 3m views in a week. Roughly 4:1 like to dislike ratio.

but it just seems too good to be true to f*cking play with a spinner for 10 minutes and get 3 million views.
if that were the case EVERYONE would be doing this, right?

Haha I've wondered this for a while, kids seem to be hooked on them. I have a 2 year old, these videos are a god send on flights and when we are driving. Kids love the music and seeing the characters I guess, the thing we have had to watch is he now clicks into his own shit.. and some of these videos are just wrong lol

woah you're an actual parent?
maybe you can suggest videos that your kid likes so i know what to make lol.

It's how society has changed.

When I was 10 I used to be out playing football with mates in the park, riding on my bike, exploring along the old rail tracks etc.
Kids today are stuck infront of the tv at home, the playstation or even when out on their smartphone/tablet.

disagree... some how :D way back my childhood was similar, but millions of kids do the same things today, actually.
The diversity of things you can do with your free time is just grown.

I'm think it's in the responsibility of the parents. If all the input (what they here & see) is just watching their parents in front of a screen, then kids assume this.

It's always, opportunities and education.

just made a journey page: blackhatworld.com/seo/youtube-kids-channel-journey-oh-boy.957288/

also i am sneaky aren't i? >=)

I was reading a journey thread here where someone was making good money from video game tips/vids, he had some good info on making money from YouTube. He said that a catchy/attractive thumbnail image and getting to the top of the suggested videos were the 2 main things for children/teens.

They are not going to be typing/searching for the 'perfect' video.

I agree. I mean the camerawork is shaky, mom's acting poor and the kid barely gets here words out right. So is it paid for likes and paid comments (one is asking them to do a specific video next) or are people really that easily pleased down? I can believe the latter. I know the former goes on but I don't know ins and outs as I only view youtube.

Because lazy ass parents just give their kids an Ipad and forget about them.
They watch for 10+ hours, can't skip the ads, get hypnotized while their brains are dying.

How many kids do you have?

now when you say "catchy/attractive" do you mean boobs or bright colors? lol

My 5 year old daughter has families that she watches on Youtube. I've damn near ripped the internet out of the house because of her. I have amazon fire box and sticks on the various tv's in my house, so it's youtube, hulu, etc. Well, I uninstalled the youtubes from them all, and my daughter decided she was going to sneak install on one of the back room tv's. And then, she watches on mute. I'm like wtf have I created, and why am I so proud of her critical thought, even though it's going against me? :D

We finally gave in, and just actively try to make sure we know what she's watching. As for the topic of views, my daughter will watch the same video like 20 times, and rewind it to make sure we saw what dumb shit she just saw. You never get through the video, because it's instant-replayed every ten seconds, for the whole video.

One thing I've noticed, on the kid stuff, the content providers copy the living shit out of eachother... Please tell me you guys have seen the spiderman/elsa? There's about 100 different people that make the videos. And they act like silent films with the goofy creative commons music... "Watch this, daddy."

yeah ive seen those. weird. but now that the one guy mentioned the "catchy/attractive" thumbnails, it makes sense why there are so many bikini girls, weird fetish things, and bright *ss colors.
but i will i get age restricted if i put bikini babes in the thumbnails? since, ya know, it is for kids.

Dude, you are talking about children. They watch the same shit over and over and over because it entertains them. What makes them "lazy people?"

apparently the content creators are taking one kids clip and spamming it to an hour to make it as one video.

No, they steal each other's content, but it still needs to be created. They're just unoriginal.

The one I've noticed a lot is Spiderman and Elsa, vs Joker and Malificence, with Anna and Hulk that are included periodically.

I combat this by making their own channel/account on youtube and watch my crap on my own account. Every once and a while I go through their suggested videos and remove the ones I don't want her watching. After a few days the fees stays clean as long as I remember to switch to my account on my phone before searching for Dr disrespect videos.
