How should I use Facebook ads for my type of website?

Anyway, I have always just used my very active Facebook pages to promote my website. I don't really know what have happened but all the pages have a very low reach now days..
I have never used Facebook ads as I see that they are to expensive for me as I don't make so much money of 1000 USD.
My website is full of viral articles and videos and I just use Google ads.

I make about 2-3 USD / CPM so is it even worth to spend money on Facebook to promote it more?

I thought Google ads is more expensive than Facebook ads. Not sure where most of your traffic come from. If you target US, Facebook ads is about $5 CPM. You won't make money from Facebook ads unless your post go viral (aka, you use Facebook ad for seed marketing). The chance of going viral is very small (1% or less) even for very good articles.

Facebook has recently lowered the organic reach of posts with the intent to have people pay for reach.

That being said, if you target your content ad to the right audience, it will help it go viral because people will start to share it. It can be very worth it. For $5 you can reach almost 2k people. Just make sure you target the right audience and have a minimum reach of 100K. If the post goes viral you will get a lot of traffic and it can pay for itself. Start with $5 spend per day/post and see how it does.

I have gotten targeted clicks for less than .05 which is insane.

This won't work long term. Facebook could ban your domain if you continuously promote it using their coupons on several accounts.

I would also try to increase your revenue per click from Adsense, write some articles that create more expensive clicks, related to sectors that are paid very high in Adwords, this way you can hit profits sooner.

If your site has a viral article then you can use Facebook ads. FB will viral your post and then you will get more visitor. But there is few strategies to do this. Few days ago i saw a guy spent $10 in FB ads and got 100K visitors in his website and earner $882 more or less. I got his screenshot. I tried FB ads but didn't get the same way he did. But you can spend little money and can earn more. But it is most important is post must need to be viral.

Yes. You can try Facebook Ads. I have had decent success with them. The content you are promoting seems to be good too. Just make sure that you do not promote any adult or other crappy material.

Create an awesome image for you ad. It should be catchy and related to the content ofcourse!

Gather a list of other Facebook pages that have a similar audience like your site. For example if you are promoting a funny image then pages like 9gag would do!

Add the List of those pages in the "interests" targeting option while setting up your ad.

I have had campaigns running on $0.00 CPC for days..

Also, make sure that your clicks are converting. Keep a track on the amount of traffic + if the traffic is actually sharing your article / content or not.

If the results are not positive, tweak your campaign accordingly.

Yeah its nice think to do promote your site.you can share your information in simple content and easy to read. it will easily attract the viewers.
The photos and the images are in a very unique and a good looking.the content titles are in the unique and use different font and make special effects compared to the content.
The images are the one of the main key to getting a more number of viewers.Create Facebook page post advertisements either by posting on your page or creating unpublished posts with the Power Editor.Use the Power Editor to copy your individual page post campaigns into at least 5 different audiences.For Facebook business to business pages, the customer immediately and perhaps even unconsciously judges our ability based on how many people like our page and engage with our page.

Target is the catch here, if you target well FB s a very good advertising media, try spending some money on FB Adds and then see if you get good response.

FB ads are not very effective if you are not very experienced working with them and don't target the right audience. Using FB ads improperly can lead to waste of time and money, without getting any palpable result.

You could create more evergreen content and share it repeatedly on your page, but don't do it too often... you risk too piss off your followers and lose them.

The trick is to broaden your horizons and get your content out of only one FB page. PM me your site URL and maybe I could help you out.
