How should I see seo?

    So recently I have just thrown away all of my adsense sites because they were earning me very little. However the few years of SEO that I have retined along this journey will be my new goal.

    I do have a few question tho, how should I sell my SEO services?

    Should I use the quote service, where the client will need to contact me and after agreeing on something we set a price?

    Or should I already have a price going? So I will already have different SEO services set with prices for potential clients to look at.

    Either way, let me know what you think guys.

    It all depends on what kind of clients you would like to have and in the depth of your SEO knowledge.

    IF you're going to offer some simple service then I would recommend you to have a set up price already. Instead if you will be dedicating considerable time to understand the client and their needs, then a consulting price is the way to go (generally by charging an hourly)


    remember that consulting work is time consuming and you only have a finite amount of hours that you can bill. Now the matter of pricing is all dependent on your level of experience and the market that you want to tackle.

    SEO is a very competitive field. the buyers always try to decrease the rate and the sellers always try to increase :)
    but if you really want white hat and manual service you have to spend a good amount. and as you are using adsense so i suggest to use only manual service.

    I do not sell SEO services yet...but when I do I am thinking to guarantee a place in top 3 results or money back. What do you think about this strategy?

    That's the worst thing you can do. People are running from companies or 'seo gurus' who says that can 'guarantee' some place in ranking. If you can guarantee that can rank in top 3 , 10 competitive kws then i will pay you 5k to do that. If not you will be my slave for 1 year. What do you think about this strategy?

    I guarantee 1st page after 3 months or I work for free until you're there. But I also charge a lot.

    Do us all a favor and don't try to underprice your service. Yes, it is simple to you but that's because you have spent years researching and experimenting. These people still think meta keywords and keyword stuffing are the only way to get to the top. Would you go to a doctor or lawyer just because he is the cheapest?

    And if you are having trouble justifying your price to yourself or your potential client, research "customer lifetime value". Know what it is and how to use it. You will be explaining this to your clients because most people didn't go to B school and aren't aware of how much your work can benefit them and how much better the ROI on SEO is compared to other types of advertising.

    First page is ok, but to guarantee top 3 is another thing.

    Another thing though, when you begin selling, as most people you are bound to have problems in either getting clients, or getting your hourly price up. If you are truly good at this, after a few successful campaigns (you have to go through this) you'll start getting more referral based clients, which are the ones with whom you'll start hitting higher revenues and prices. Otherwise doing battle with the other freelancers is going to be HARD.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the suggestions.

    I see people doing SEO for such a low price at different freelancer places but I understand that this is not exactly how I should get my prices from. If you think about it, doing SEO for a Dentist might get them an additional $xx,xxx, so based on that how much of the cut do you think you deserve.
