how should i build links for a small job website?

    Hello, i am making a website for a job agency in my city and i was wondering what links should i build to beat .gov. edu websites?

    exact searchs : 2.4k local

    so the keyword isnt that big, its pretty easy

    what would you do to rank it?

    Honestly I believe that you can beat any website with diversified links. Wiki links, high pr blog comments and tracbacks, ,edu, .gov, ect. I see people all the time on here concentrating on only one type of linking and wondering why they can't rank their sites.
