How profitable are layouts sites?

Just wondering how profitable these sites are that offer MySpace layouts and the like. Don't they have to pay for bandwidth for all of these layouts that use images? Doen't that get expensive? The user comes to their site once to get the layout and then for the next few years, they're hitting up the server for images. I don't really get it. How do you make money on these sites?

They can be very profitable. Basically there are some cpa offers that pay per download of a myspace toolbar. So basically you set up all these layouts pictures that all go to that same link, And if the user downloads and installs the toolbar, you get 3.00 or so.

I used to do $100/day off mine. Friends were doing $1k/day. It is very saturated but if you are good...... it never matters.

thanks guys. i take it that banner ads and adsense alone will not make them profitable?

I think that it's too saturated to make a lot of money off of just adsense, you could throw in some youth targeted cpa's to bring in some extra cash.
