Just wondering as I stumbled upon a really nice one for a MNS. The competition is about medium and the KW is a 10k exact match. Kinda odd as just about all other extensions have been bought up..

Did you check if this was a deleted domain?

Go to http://whois.domaintools.com/ and type the domain name and in the result page go to "REgistration" tab and you will be able to see "Never registered before" or "deleted and available again"

If it is deleted after previous registration, I would get it and put a filler text and see if it gets indexed then when it gets indexed you can install a full site with whatever content you want.

If the EMD is not #1 then you have chances to rank with a word+EMD or EMD+word.

.com, .org, .net, .info All of them works fine as long as you have tons of quality contents. So Content is the king. So simply work on contents, contents and more quality contents.
