I'm currently posting an article to a web 2.0 property. How often should I use bold text on my targeted Keywords?

Google doesnt really pay attention to this anymore. Try using a tag cloud and this will tell you a bit more indepth of how the bot sees your page and keyword relevance.

gthere are a few different places to check tag clouds of a page. But you can use Ahref's. Just run the url through, it will give you a link profile, but if you keep scrolling down the page of the results, there will be a section that will show you what your tag cloud looks like. But you can also try googling other tag cloud sites that provide free analysis as well.

It basically represents major (consistent usage of) keywords from an article in more concise, visual text based way. Heavily weighed keywords usually have a larger font-size.

I've seen them in WP blogs, they typically hyperlink tags of keywords as categories or a query of commonality between articles.

I believe what Sky was mentioning is that if you use the analysis of a site for your article, you can utilize those keywords more effectively with density or variations of the keyword.

Bolding and italicizing really doesn't do shit, and it looks goofy to the viewer if it doesn't emphasize a point naturally. I believe the h1\h2 tags are more effective still however, but you still don't want to use them if it doesn't look right with the page layout.

So it's pretty much just a matter of design, right?
