How often should I rotate proxies for a normal project?

How often do you change proxies for a normal project? Is it better to change them after a set time or only when needed? What do you normally do?

Really depends on what you’re trying to do, if you’re looking to run a botnet of accounts I’d suggest assigning a unique IP to each account. For data scraping just use ISPs, it’s cheaper.
 
Hello, it really depends on your project. In most cases where mobile proxies are used you have to try to keep same IP as long as possible using sticky sessions. Unless you are doing scraping/market research or other tasks requiring frequent IP rotation.
 
Sticky for social media posting etc rotate for scraping - rotating on a timer on social media is a redflag - but the when scraping its about the ip being blocked by GSE mostly when your scraping off keywords that's when you need to freshen the ip
 
Only when needed, honestly, rotating on a timer just burns good IPs early. I switch when I see captchas, slow response times, or a block, not on a schedule.
 
You shouldn't need to rotate at all unless you're getting blocked or something
 
Rotating on a timer usually just burns good IPs and breaks sessions mid-run. What works best for me on public scrapes is holding a sticky IP across small batches so pagination stays intact, then swapping it out only if I catch a errors, or captcha. With accounts it is the opposite, you really want to ride the same IP until it actually forces a re-auth or gets locked
