Seriously, guys, some of us who "automate" our blog commenting really need to step up our game. I got this little steaming pile of crap on an autoblog sometime recently:

"Answers with regards to the prostate..."?!? I only scan my AB's once a week or so for interesting comments (I re-use the good ones for my own needs lol) and this one just jumped out at me as a sparkling example of a really shit comment (pun intended).

I get the same crap too. But don't let it get you down. Reverse engineer his backlinks and see if he left you a good trail of high pr blogs to comment on.

I got a real gem a few days ago. I checked out his site and this fool has interlinked all his niche sites ( or at least a lot of them ) and I was able to find about 30 of his niches - hope he doesn't mind a little competition. :) And I appreciate all the hard work he did for me by giving me all his keyword research and backlink locations.

Oh they don't get me down. Sometimes they actually make me laugh. And I thought by sharing some of the more pathetisad comments others might learn and (naive optimistic mode ON) maybe some of the posters of these mangled comments might be shamed into stepping up their game. Such as this person:

Yeah get the same when I occasionally look in on the comments pending, usually makes me laugh also just before I press delete.

    Exactly.

If you don't laugh, you cry.

    And then you press delete.

Pingbacks are by biggest bugbear - There are some sites that seem to pounce as soon as you make a post. I guess they're using some automated way of doing this. I wish someone would pingback them where the sun don't shine.

I would say that English isn't their first language!

A search on G for "thirstily look forward to your coming updates" shows however that they have been busy boys with 148,000 results listed...

Saying thanks will not just be enough, for the tremendous clarity in your writing. I will right away grab your rss feed to stay abreast of any updates. Fabulous work and much success in your business enterprize!"

At least he's using some spinner text to vary it up a little. Thesaurus 101
