How NewsFeed works? (NewsFeed Optimization)

One of the reasons why people think Facebook is crappy click trough rate is because of NFO. Been reading about it and there are many ways to abuse it.

Having publishing rights on the huge fanpage doesn't mean that your post will actually hit NewsFeed anymore at all, because of this factor.

Does anyone knows more about this? That's why friend lists easily get saturated. I bet there are workarounds to this, like accounts liking the topic and commenting, so it get's "relevance".

Try to get as many likes/comments as possible if you make a wall post. If a post is "active" it will rank high in newsfeeds for a longer period of time, which basically leads to more exposure.
