How much would you pay for a PR8 do follow backlink?

how much would you pay for PR8? What type of an increase in SERP would happen with a couple of these? Anyone have much experience with such a high PR backlink..

if it's just a PR of home page and your backlink is profile backlink then i think it not take much effect to your SERP

Profile link or in context back link? A PR8 site with in context backlink, and no other OBL can easily reach $900 monthly

without looking at any other factors I am going to say you are an amateur with that question. There are so many variables and factors that go into the value of a link on any webpage.

Here are just some of the short list of factors that would help you determine the value:

1. What kind of link is it Contextual , blogroll, on the footer?
2. Where is the link located on the web page
3. is it on the homepage that is a pr8 and if so how long will it stay there?
4. is it on an interior page?
5. Is the interior page a sub domain ?
6. How many pages off is the link if not on the homepage is it to the webpage with your link on it
7. whats the page rank of that actual page you would be getting the link on
8. How many out bound links does the page you would be getting the link on have
9. How many links does the site have, what kind of links are they, what is the link velocity for the site?
10. How old is the domain

Its a Blog comment on an actual private PR8 page. The comment will come from the owner. There is 3 OBL. The domain is 7 years old. There is only 3 links total. That he has done for 3 other people. He is only doing 10 all up.

depends on many factors. PR8 usually have very very established websites with high traffic. So that would worth a lot.

if its a homepage backlink then hundreds, like $500+ i think

Back to the OP's question...
If there is 10 OBL I would say the following...as an example

PR8 = roughly 390k in Link weight
390k/(10 OBL -15%) = 38999 Link weight that will be passed to your site

This will ensure you a PR6 (since you need 15k) and halfway to PR7 on the next update. PR7 will need roughly 80k
