I fail to see why on earth would anybody pay anything for a photo that to stick on their Facebook profile.

Or if you're in a desperate need for one (for whatever bizarre reason) then as the poster above said head to a stock photo site (there's loads out there) and pay between $1 and $5.

Generally people pay 25 bucks for quality graphics, it really depends on the quality you need for graphics

I think it's excess ,may be too much ,

Its not difficult to make a fb cover by yourself you just need a Photoshop and desired graphic
    Dimensions are 850 x 315 resolution 72
and also there are so many free site offering cover images whats the point to waste money.
as seosis said if you you are so desperate to spend money try try graphic river for cheap deals

    LOL. That was terrible. :)
You can go to the graphicriver and search for banners.
The banners are more cheaper there.

You can also just make your own banner!
Its not that difficult to make Facebook banner.

The only way you're going to get anywhere near that price is if you're providing completely unique graphics in vector format. I've done a few, and made some money, but it's not an everyday thing.

I would personally create my own cover photo. In the grand scheme of things it's really not that important of a factor in facebook pages. Just needs to get a point across. Maybe you could look into charging money for a different kind of graphics service that isn't so saturated and easy for almost anyone to do just by searching on youtube. Best of Luck to You.

For a really high-quality, unique timeline cover, totally above the expectations of the customer : something around $30 might probably, with some imagination, be considered fair;-)

I would head over to fiverr and pay 5$ and get your banner done there. Ive worked with a few of the sellers and they produce really good work. Also the plus is it only 5$ and most of them offer free revisions

Just depends on how good the cover art is. If it's really good, you might be able to attract high paying clients. Don't sell yourself short if you really have good graphics talent. And, don't bother asking anyone else's opinion of what your talent is worth or they'll tell you to charge $1.00.

Look you need to sell to business owners, which needed them the most ... and willing to pay higher prices (because they don't know any better).

You'll kill yourself if compete online.
