Hey guys, I have a fanpage that I made about 5 years ago. I wasn't into IM or anything then, I just made it for fun and then kind of forgot about it. I've never posted on it, so the activity/engagement is really low but all the followers are 100% real.

Demographics: Over 80% are female. From UK, Australia, USA - in that order. 60% between 18-24. I would say it's in the beauty/haircare niche.

    I'm not expecting much
due to the low activity, just seeing if it's worth anything at all.

    Cheers.

Why not try start posting, so you can increase and measure the activity.
Buying one sponsored post will get the page going.

It might be worth it, if the followers are real. How much reach do your current posts get?

I haven't done any posts in 5 years! This was a fanpage I completely forgot about. I just done a post then, a photo that's gone viral from another popular page. I boosted it for $11. Will see what happens..

If the followers are real, start posting actively on it and sell it. Maybe a business will buy it.

If I were you I would consider igniting engagement. Why don't you start the fire and reconnect with the individuals. If the fan page is in a niche that doesn't excite you, hire an intern or find someone that is passionate about the niche and get them to engage with the users. If you provide REAL value to your audience they will engage and tell their friends about you, thus building an even bigger audience which produces even more value.

Another thing you can consider doing is building a list outside of facebook. Create an optin list for newsletters, etc. So whoever buys your page not only gets the account but also a valuable optin list they can push their products, affiliate offers, etc.

Create a youtube account on the niche and push people from your facebook page to your youtube account and get subscribers there as well. Now you can sell a facebook account AND a youtube account :)

Okay I think I gave you enough ideas... I'm going to stop there, if you want more you guys can PM me!

You have mentioned that most of the members are female and your niche is beauty. I think you will get a good price for your page. It must be more than $150.

Hmm, now you've got me thinking. My girlfriend does beauty/makeup as her job (I made the page before I met her though), so I'm wondering if things like makeup tutorials and tips etc would work. I think that that would tie in perfectly with the YouTube side of things too. I could get her to do all the posting..

The thing is, I'm totally new to Facebook marketing. Do you guys promote every single post?

You gotta be crazy, right? The point is to make money there, not to make more money for Facebook though
