I have a friend who is a nutritionist. Think she could consult via website and make money with good placement?

How much would it cost to rank high enough to work?

ALSO How long will it take?

Can someone give me stats for both black & white hat?

    Thanks!

Well it depends on a large number of facors Mr. Cortez.

    For example:
What specific keywords is the trying to rank?

"Nutritionist" has about 300,000 Local (usa) searches, 450K global

but perhaps a better keyword for her may be:

"online nutritionist" which has about 5,400 monthly searches.
These numbers are from G Keyword tool are are rough estimations.

So if you get her in the top 3 search results for "online nutritionist" and some other good long-tail keywords, You could get several hundred unique organic visitors per day. Which should result in sales if the website is set up right :)

As for cost: All depends how much you do yourself and how much you hire out.

As for BH stuff: Be very careful with BH activity and a 'client' site. You are being trusted with her brand, choose your actions wisely.

Would be happy to help you more, PM or add me on Skype

    Good Luck!
    Brian

    schwagoo is exactly right.
Try to first make a decent keyword research.
    In short:
You can use G's adwords to get the search traffic and other important factors for a number of keywords.
Then you have to analyze the competition for each keyword/phrase. This is a tedious task and I recommend you invest some money with the tools promoted in the forum.
Only if you found a keyword with decent traffic and somehow low competition, you (or others) will be able to estimate what a ranking would cost - and what its worth :)
