How much traffic from twitter?

How much one should expect traffic if for example he got 1000 followers on twitter?

1000 followers? I would not even expect to get a single visitor.

I got around 20k followers on an account, and i get around 10 visitors each months, (according to Google Analytics), which i consider quite good considering that i rarely post anything on that acc.

It obviously depends on the subject and how targeted your followers are.

I've tweeted before and had over 1000 visits to my website for that 1 single tweet... it was, however, retweeted to a total of approx 300,000 followers by my larger accounts.
