Creating a membership site, and I have a few questions for those who are successful.

It's an ESL site (specific niche) and I want to do a monthly subscription for about $40/month (first month free). I'm worried about retention rates and was wondering what you think works best.

    1) When signing up, should I have a bunch of videos of various lengths that they can watch right now?
    2) I was thinking of dripping a new 30 minute video once a week and an hour online live webinar once a week, but is that too much saturation? Should I only do one of those (live or taped)? or should I mix it up?

    Thank you.

Membership sites are hard on the long-term, not to mention it is an ESL site. This is a very competitive nich.

Generally speaking, you have to offer something very unique in order to keep your customers happy. Only you can know if what you offer is really unique in comparison to what others are offering. You are the expert in your nich.

If its one of your first projects, i'd say try something else. There is a reason why this sub-forum is dead. In 2017 paid sites are not really working.

If you need some more help, let me know.
