    depends on the site really, but anything less than $1000 with content is less inmo, again it can vary.

    if I were you, I would estimate the number of man hours I need and calculate it with my hourly rate. You can also estimate more for resource cost such as Theme cost/Plugin Costs etc...

    If its simple like just installing free themes and setting it up then i will say $120 but it has to be slicing theme then i say around $300 and if you have to develop a theme from scratch then i will say $500+...

    Home Page:
    Depends on what your client really wants. For an online shop you can charge up to a grand or even more, if it's something basic with up to 10 pages then a couple hundred bucks.

    Depends of the website requirements, your client country, and ( most important ), of your competition. The idea is that in your country the competition is too high.
    You should listen Meashis suggestion:
    -$120 for theme installation;
    -$300 for theme installation&customization;
    -OVER $350, for unique theme design, dev. by you.

    The first idea in the marketing is that once you make an offer to your client, you can decrease it in the future, but you will never increase it more that your first price. So, ask him for a price up with %20 than your wished price.

    Also, make him to understand that he needs some monthly SEO works, and ask him for a monthly fee.

    Other tehniques:
    -When you will talk with him about your future business, use the words in this way:
    -Bad things/Negative ("I can't do it = I'll never do it in the past", etc ) things at the past. What is not good, take it in the past.
    -Good things/Positive things ( " I will make x, and make y, an make z" ) at the present.
    NEVER talk with him at the future time! ("We will make this, and this and this...", because his brain will remain just at "We will..." )

    Also, another good tip is:
    Don't use worthless words:
    NO: "Hi there. As I think/as I know/As I want/ I can do your website .."
    YEAH: "Hi there. I start right now your website, Sir. / Hi there. I do your website right now, Sir."

    These things are used by big web developers. Why don't you use them? :)

    Good luck!

    You charge what your time is worth. Don't undercharge or you will lose momentum and interest quickly.
