What are you trying to rank for? Cheap viagra?

A very broad question and no one knows the answer to it - there are way too many factors that could affect the time period require for ranking for a particular keyword...The competition of the keyword, your on-page SEO, your link profile, etc.

Just unique content by itself will not help you rank.

You need a lot more than just unique content.

It's really difficult for a new website to get traffic from google.

you have to work for the traffic:
    1. Keyword research (you should check the competition and search volume)
    2. Implement those keywords and the content should be engaging, unique and informative.
    3. Backlinks (To tell google that other website credits you for your work for some keyword, google ranks on the basis of relevancy just remember that)
Quite easy right? now read all the pinned threads on the forum to know the details.

    Good luck :)

Start with easy keywords for your niche. Then proceed to harder ones.

First conduct an on-page optimizarion analysis. You can use Google webmaster tools to know the errors or other on-page SEO factors you may be missing. This tool provides a complete report of your on-page .

Then I also suggest you re-analyze your keywords. Are your keywords all high competitive keywords? If there are, I suggest you mix these keywords with medium to low competition keywords. Collect a lot of long tail ones. These are usually very easy to rank and you can get instant traffic with these keywords.

And then once you had the two factors figured out, it is time to focus on your off-page SEO campaign. Try to collect and build links from high PR sites. Try to also focus on content marketing and also do social media marketing.

    I hope that helps.

Quality and unique content alone is not enough to rank in SERPs when your keyword is high-competition. First, you should do keyword research (go for the low competition and high search volume keyword) and analyze your competitors. Do better than what they're doing.
Build backlinks to your site. If you're getting traffic from social media, then create awesome posts frequently to get links naturally.
If you do on-page SEO and your site gets indexed, then you can think about rankings.

At least a few months. Minimum 3 - 5 months for a really easy keyword and sometimes more than a year for reallyyy competitive terms.

There isn't a specific time on which it will be ranked. As others said in order to be ranked by Google you should work on the keywords, backlinks and other SEO methods. Also it will be good if you make a webmaster tools account and ask Google to index your site.

Choose your right keywords which are low competitive and start to work on it to get ranking, before that set your on page SEO properly and update your blog regularly with the unique contents.

It's a myth that you can rank by having unique content. I have a big blog where i want to rank with very low competitive long tail keywords. I thought it would be enough to have a great artikle with +2000 words to rank. But I was so extremly wrong!
You HAVE to use a backlink strategy to get any ranks.
    Contant only is a lie!

    Total crap.

With an aged domain, perfect ( or as close to ) onsite and great content you can do this provided your site is indexed.

I am not meaning 2 or 3 articles, ou do need a good amount of articles.
