    I have a dentist site for a fairly wealthy city with LOTS of dentists.

    Now, for starters, should I sell it, or rent it out?

    Either way, what do you think is a reasonable amount? Below are statistics. I rank for 5 keywords on Google. Btw, the rankings in Google are from Market Samuraii, and are not including Local Ad Listings.

    keyword 1 ----> 480 (searches per month) ----> 3 (rank on Google)
    keyword 2 ----> 170 (searches per month) ----> 4 (rank on Google)
    keyword 3 ----> 110 (searches per month) ----> 5 (rank on Google)
    keyword 4 ----> 58 (searches per month) ----> 5 (rank on Google)
    keyword 5 ----> 28 (searches per month) ----> 6 (rank on Google)

    Hey thedon23,

    Dentists don't care about your website ranking in the SEs. How much targeted traffic (= leads) do you get is what they're looking for.

    I´ve been thinking of making a local dentist site, in my city, the 3 top results in google are googlemaps bussines that can be added for free by the owner of the bussines (dentists in this case).

    It is possible to rank a site higher than google map results??? I guess that could be the main point for a dentist to rent space in your site, as long as they can be advertised in google for free in page #1 though google maps

    thanks

    What would be the best way to track something like that and show it to them?

    you just need to start capturing leads and then give a few to prospects in the area that the leads are in

    Or, display a phone number on your website that redirects to their landline number. Using such a method, will allow you to track all calls made to the number on your website, so you will know if it is generating callers or not.

    Yep - like the others are saying.

    They want leads, so if you can show it gets 10 leads per month or whatever, then they'll start paying attention.

    How much to sell them for? As much as you can. You should do a little research and see how much other companies are selling dentist leads for, then just price it competitively.
