I have a domain listed for sale but no buyer yet.
I just got a mail from a broker who has an offer from one of his clients to buy the domain but this broker is insisting on collecting 15% commission.

I offered 10% but he refused.

I have feeling of been cheated but since I have never done this before I need advice.

Is there any standard rate or should I call his bluff?

If he were working for you then you would pay him for performing a service. For all you
know he is in it with the buyer and presenting himself as a "broker" in order to pay 15%
less. After all that would be the end result for you yes? Unless he can improve the offer
for you so it is your asking price (or more) +15% why should you bother?

Of course you won't be paying him until after the funds are cleared and not able to be
reversed because that could be a scam....but I'm sure you know that..
