I live in an area where I can only get my clients 50 - 400 exact targeted hits a month.

I see others here charging thousands a month, however these guys obviously live in areas where there is thousands of searches a month.

I am pretty settled on $350 AUD a month. What do you think? Too much?

is that just seo or you also going to build your client a site to go along with there new seo? if its just the seo and the competition is none then its a fair price. allways remember though is 350 is what u want u ask for 450 then tell them that your willing to give them a deal if they wright a recommendation letter to be used on your site so others will know your good to hire and you can be trusted. best part is the clients thrilled beacuse you gave them such a great deal. good luck

It's not the hits, it's the amount they can make from those hits.

If your client is selling something with a $10 margin and converts 10% of 400 uniques then they are only grossing $400 - If you are charging $350, they net $50... well it's ROI, but they might not see the benefit.

If the margin is $100 and they convert 10% of 400 uniques, that's a worthwhile ROI.

50 hits is not likely to be enough traffic to convert consistantly

You really have to calculate on those terms, but you are going to have a hard time with those numbers, because the traffic is going to have to convert really well for the client to want to continue.

Thanks guys, Yea I understand that agente808. My population is mostly computer illiterate and have no idea what PPC is etc. I just want to know what a fair starting price would be.

Actually, I thought you were talking about an organic campaign...
but anyway it won't matter if your clients are computer illiterate.

- My point is that if they don't make more than they spend, they won't pay you for very long.

Are you going to be able to make them more money than you cost them?

I hope so!

I mean, many already have websites, but they get no traffic. I will be able to get them what little targeted traffic there is.
