How much should be spent on adwords?

Depends on your market dude.
There are guys spending $5 a day and there are guys spending $10 700 a day.
Max CPC when you start out I'd say no higher than $1
Unless you are promoting a really high ticket item...

Like nowimhere said, that depends heavily on your market. If you're promoting acai, expect nothing less than $1 cpc. I've seen them 5x that. If you're promoting something in your niche market, say you sell used legos, probably going to be around $.05 for keywords. I've heard of people spending 60k a day. Just make sure your page can convert and start very small and keep reinvesting profits. I recommend you dl market samurai if you don't already have it, incredibly useful tool for finding good keywords, trends, and competition.

if u know those keywords+landing page will convert, spending 1 million (if u have) is a wise decision. if u want to do 'campaign blast', then i suggest $200. the problem that people face when it comes to adword is they don't know what keyword will convert (some know). another problem is whether the landing page will do the job.
