How much should a FT in house web dev cost?

This client is looking for a full time in house web developer. SOmeone who can make/code wordpress sites. Design, and develop parts (such as forms).
SOmeone actually good and modern (not 90's looking).

How much do you think a salary for this is.

approx $1000 a month for good dev.

$1000/month??? Heck no.

I'm an in-house web developer and I started out at $1600 as a junior designer and now making way more as full-time.

I think you want to post the country and region as the $s will vary from $ to $$$$$$$ depending on locale.

At least double that for someone with less than a year's experience.

A good way to get a salary indication is to check on one of the job board aggregator sites. Do a search for the role you have in mind and order the results by salary.

Indeed and CareerJet are good.

On Indeed, once you run the search, it will show in the left hand margin how many jobs there are for various salaries - that's all you need to look at.

most important factor is the location of developer .
A experienced php developer here in India would be available for $800-1200 and a brand new one for $400-500
I got offered $350 after graduation . I said fuck you .

while in us/europe prices will be 5-10 times higher .

Cost depends on country for junior/mid skilled developer. For anything above that, the prices go high regardless of country (unless you get super lucky).

In Florida you can't legally pay under U$ 1268/mo for a full time job at the current minimum wage of U$ 7.93

So you start from U$ 1268 for a completely unqualified person. Assuming they got experience in IT and certifications/degrees, you're probably looking at several times that minimum wage.
