As you know, mobiles are on the rise. Many people use a smartphone or tablet to surf the web.

Sometime they may come across your affiliate link and get the aff cookie from your website (whether it is clickbank, amazon, cj.. etc)

However, the thing is - most people use mobile phones for surfing and computers for actual online purchases.

That said, some people may came across your affiliate website, but when they decide they are going to buy the product, in many cases (by some data, google it), they actually turn their computer and order the product.

What do you think about this.. how much does it affect your campaigns?

I usually have a different offer for visitors that use their computer/laptop and their mobile phones.

With smarturl you can even filter by devices such as Android and Apple as well as Windows Phone and many others.

If you are using 301 redirects from social networks either use a mobile-optimized offer that converts good on both platforms or filter by device and offer something else.
