So everyone have been talking about providing seo/social media / ORM to small business owner, I'm interested to know, how much does SEO or social media company charge for corporate account or doing SEO / social media / ORM to individual (who has a little start power in thier field).

It would be great if you can share some of the informaton to us?

    1. Name of the company (if able to provide)?
    2. Contract Value for SEO on a yearly basis?
    3. Contract Value for SM on a yearly basis?
    4. Country/ which states it's located?
    5. Niche of the field? example: Shoe fashion, health food, fast food?
    6. Are they listed as a public listed company or private company with big brands?

let me know what to add on? so the expert can share wth us.

Well, firstly, I don't think anyone should ever give out the name of the company they are promoting without the express written permission of that company. Keep in mind, this is BlackHat World, and people WILL try to steal your client if you give them a way to find them.

But on to the main question, I assume you are trying to figure out what to charge corporate companies for SEO/Social Media type services, and in my opinion, you should always charge the lowest rate that you would need to be able to provide excellent results for the client, and be able to pay yourself a wage you would be very happy with, as well as cover any investments and pay any employees a fair wage as well.

So if you will work 40 hours per week, and you want to make $20/hour, then the cost to the client is $3200 + your costs/investments/employees wages.

Hope this helps. I was a little confused on what you were asking, so if I was off a bit, let me know.

    Hello Marusia,

Thanks for answering my question, what I am trying to figured it out is: how much do Digital Media company charged for a typical Corporate account or goverment contract. It would be great some ppl who is actually dealing with this level, give us an ideal price point, you can pm me the price point to.

As you can see, for Small, medium entreprise account - most ppl recommend charging from $300-$2000 on a monthly basis for a typical SEO / social media engagement campaign (generalised).

Hope I give you a clear picture on it.

I am going to approach a $100 mil turnover a year company selling women undergrament (to my surprise that company is making 100mil a year without proper branding). I am trying to figured it out how much should I charge on a monthly basis? (At this point, I am trying to think to offer full digital media service - (ranging from seo/ social media management and branding and online PR and publicity thru guest bloging).

I hope to get some feedback from the public too assuming you are in my shoe, how much do you want to charge in your country (your ideal rate)?

I would charge a few hundred thousands. Seriously, this company is churning 100m a year! But of course, you will need to justify these few hundred thousands and on how you can help them. Charging them a few thousands would do yourself injustice

You don't pitch social media and a facebook page, you pitch an increase in online sales. If you want to take a risk, ask for a percentage of the increase in online sales. This will get you a fat check if they really do just need this new channel and people will purchase their products online.

You do realise that THEY will be unable to justify paying you only thousands a month for such a service, right? They're earning $100M/year, do you really think they're even going to give you the time of day if you approach them with an offer designed for small businesses. You need to charge them accordingly, otherwise your chances of actually landing the account are slim.

It's like when I go and hire on oDesk and I am looking for a quality applicant. I automatically decline all applicants who have requested to be paid a low hourly rate. Perception is very important, and you offering them your services for a few thousand dollars a month is the same as the applicants I automatically decline because they applied for a professional job at a rate of $5/hr.

EDIT: I actually do not carefully look at and read over applications unless they charge $20/hr or more. Charging a lot makes you look like you know what you're doing, people will sit down and listen to you. Charge too little, and you're in the same boat as everyone else.
