It's difficult to say and as stated above -and I do agree with that the majority fail and doesn't achieve the "autoblogs dream", I saw some few good stories here but that doesn't mean every buddy and his mother are getting the same success, it depends to every one's knowledge and the way things are done .

Ok since we're talking numbers here, I still have a number of my old autoblogs, 2-4 years old, from their first month till now the average earning for each one of them each day is from $10 to $20 from G..A only ! believe it or not, I do only check them once every 6 months or so, other than cleaning spam comments from db I do nothing for them so no promotion or any thing else, hell some of them are even still with WP 2.2 version, I'm too lazy and and busy to look at them lol. So yeah you got this too, the older your autoblogs get, the more love they get from the big G .. .

Let me end with this, autoblogs or the whole niche marketing way is not some thing hard but in the same time is not as easy as it sounds to many people and what the dream sellers "gurus" make you believe. So Before you start any thing not only autobogging, don't just jump to the thing right a way, learn first how to do things right, and lesson & learn from others's mistakes, with time, hard work and some patience .. you'll end up doing it sooner or later .

Hi Justin, I am not sure what tech experience you have, but you can automate the actual setting up of the sites.

Just build a clean default installation 'template' with all your templates, plugins etc set up. When you want a new site, just copy and push the default template. Think of the way most auto-installers work on web cpanels. It should be that easy to build each consequtive site.

I do realise that some of this stuff cannot be done in parallel though. YMMV

will depend a lot on your tactics for that auto blog, for me 90% of them fail, but the ones that works really works well

I think one important thing to remember is autoblogging is "part" of most peoples business. It is an added revenue stream.

So, for me, my revenue streams are:

    1. Squidoo -> BANS sites
    2. Article Marketing -> CB products and MFA Niche Sites
    3. Autoblogging (currently 58 autoblogs, with about 38 setup in the last month). Normally, each autoblog has ad$en$e, kontera, some affiliate product like amazon or CB
    4. 2 personal products I market via CB
    5. 1 autoresponder that generates 4-10 leads everyday.
    6. ..... and a few others here and there
So, in the overall picture, autoblogging is just a piece of the puzzle. Plus, I can not imagine trying to update 500 autoblogs when something breaks :(

Plus, it all depends on the plugins you use for WP

I have a ton of auto-blogs and auto-forums, but since I use many of them strictly for list building or drawing people into a niche funnel to get them onto my niche sales sites it's impossible for me to calculate an average earning.

Of the auto-sites that I do monetize directly, on a few I use PPC ads (like AdSense and YPN!) but on most I promote a product or line of products related to the site's topic. So again, it's impossible to come up with a meaningful average since the commission rates can vary so greatly from product to product.

What I can and will offer though, is that I shoot for a minimum monthly earning off of every auto-site that I monetize directly, and that's $15 per month.

That may not seem like much, a single affiliate sale per month in most cases, but given that it costs me about $10 per year for each auto-site, if I can invest $10 and an hour or two of setup and link building time to get between $150 and $180 return over the course of a year then I'm happy with that. Once I figured out how to do that and put a good system together so that my time investment per auto-site was minimal, then it was just a matter of scaling it up to build a decent regular earnings with auto-sites.

The best advice I can offer on making money with auto-sites is to read everything you can from others who do it (especially folks here on BHW), but don't follow their plans exactly.

Put your own spin on it, and create a system that works for you and is a little unique from everybody else.

There's not a lot to it and it isn't brain surgery. You need free mass content, you need to add value to that content to avoid getting banned or being stuck on page 500 of the search indexes, you need basic on-page SEO, you need links, you need traffic and you need a way to make money from that traffic.

Once you've got a system for those things, then it's just a matter of picking a narrow niche topic, build the site, plug-in your system...rinse and repeat.

Well it depends on what you use your Autoblogs for. If you're using them JUST for adsense you're not going to much very much money. Now if you do like scb335 mentioned and use your blogs to create lists and funnel people to sales pages.. you'll make good affiliate sales most likely. That's exactly what I use my autoblogs for.. and the blogs that don't have products to promote I have adsense on them, making me $10-$15 a day on average.. not much, but they pay for their self so why mess with a good thing.

Autoblogs are just another way to get traffic to whatever you're promoting. Use that traffic wisely and you'll make good money. Waste it on adsense and you'll make pennies.

    Just my two cents. :)

I used to run some 400 autoblogs, all about 0.1-1.5$ a day. At the best moment, I had about 300-330$ a day. I stopped maintaining them though, and most of them got banned by google by now, so its considerably less.

From what I've tested once, the average would be around $3 per month on .info blogs with reasonable backlinks. You can easily make 10 autoblogs per week so that would be an extra $30/m each week.

I agree many marketers make it seem like easy money, just spend 10 min setting up your auto blog and watch the riches pour in.

I have 2 right now that earn from 2-12 bucks a day. I have other sites also, but only 2 auto blogs which I started about 4 months ago. I am working on ramping it up to about 50 or so. The key is you have to promote links just like any other site to build up your google ranking for various keywords. That will always benefit the traffic.

Just using xrumer or other is not enough, you need to spread it out - article distribution, social bookmarking, forum comments, and a few web 2.0s pointing to the site. Doing it right takes a longer time but you earn more, or you can just create 400 which you cannot manage and see what happens. The cost of carry on that many domains is what makes most people stop - both in registration and in maintaining it. If you have ever had your WP hacked or server hacked, you will know what I am talking about as well.

    Just my 2c worth

well, my case is a bit different, because i lose sometime every other day, like half hour, submitting posts to get more traffic, but from 4 autoblogs i'm averaging $2/day... with adbrite... that pays pennies. hope by the end of the week to have 2 more running, and reach the $3/day average. i hope in 2 years don't need to submit any more posts and get the same traffic i get now from G only. and i'm getting an average of 1,5k UVs a day per blog. but they are against 4dSens3 ToS so i must stick to adbrite, but i use them also to drive traffic to CPA sites and affiliate programs and make like $20/day from that :D hope that doesn't make you give up from autoblogging
