How much does it takes to get the first SEO client for your SEO Agency

Hi

I started this month my SEO agency to serve local businesses at my country

Iam running a sales campaign with 3 methods to speed up the client aquastion process

My question is

How much time does it takes with you to get your first SEO client for your SEO Agency?

When should i change the sale methods if they get no thing?

Iam welcome for any advice from SEO agencies owners that will help my business to grow

Why don't you work for an agency so you get some experience? You clearly are super lost.

I get all my clients from word of mouth.

I do client SEO to diversify my income and specialize in one industry only.

Have you thought about taking on a client for free and then using this client as a showcase for potential new clients?

To get the first client, it could take a day or in certain cases a few years. And that depends on whether you are trying to sell the service at this point of time OR you are trying to market the service at this point of time. And obviously there are other variables too. A few of which are pricing, how are any leads handled, etc, etc, etc. Do not focus on sales when your business is new : focus on effective marketing, effective handling of leads, etc.

You should have made friends with the sales team and account managers. I don't believe you worked at an agency, because at a real agency, you'd learn the ropes of most roles. You'd be involved in RFPs on regular basis. Besides, if you worked there, why don't you just ask the sales team?

If you have good salesmanship, getting your first client is as good as picking up the phone and selling yourself. Now keeping said client, that's a different story. I don't run a "SEO shop" (too much work) but I know enough about keyword optimization, backlinking and such that I was able, through word of mouth, get a couple of clients who paid me to get them to the top of Google for their businesses in their locality for their chosen keywords.

Acquire some salesmanship, demonstrate your skills and they will come...if that is what you want!

I've run an SEO agency for 14 years.

It can take a while. The problem with SEO is that anyone can say they have an SEO agency. How are you different from the bunch of other people that contact you every day selling their services?
