How much does an 'ad space' usually cost on average blog?

    How much does an 'ad space' usually cost on average blog? I am talking about 6-months old blog, maybe around 300-500 visits per day etc. Looking to buy an ad space from a blogger and not sure what to offer.

    I could be wrong...But I would think $35 per month or something like that.

    it depends on what kind of ad space, is it text advertisement or banner and what size. For website with 300 - 500 visitors the price $35 would be for size 125x125. if you want 300x250 or 730x90 you can offer around $60 per month

    really depends on the niche..

    I have a site that makes $1/600 visits(what I get in a day), so I would be glad to sell the spots on that site for anything over $40 a month.

    I have another site that is earning me more like $1/100 views (i get about 300 views/day), and I would not sell that one for anything under $90 a month.

    Imo, It's hard to suggest a price before knowing the niche, ad placement, ad size/type and average impression/click.

    Thanks for the info guys. That blog is currently ad-free. So I think i can make suggestions on where I want to put that ad. In terms of traffic, I was just assuming based on the comments that site received etc. beside asking the blog owner about how much traffic he actually receives, what other metrics should I ask for to ensure that site has potential for my ad. thanks

    From what i have had seen offered i think from about $30 - $100, this will depend on the site pr, what country the site visitors are coming from, for what keywords the visitors end up on that site, etc - all these things influence how valuable the advertisement will be.
