How much do you pay in outsourcing writing content?

hey guys
just interested to know how much per 1000 words you guys pay for outsourcing writing content? e.g. products review sites

i am hiring it in Upwork and wonder how much u guys pay is at a reasonable price for:-
1. individual writer
2. media firm which manages writers for you

It depends on quality and experience and turn around time

some may $1 per 100 words, other may charge 4$ per 100 words, and depending on requirements I would pay between $10 - 50$

for USD10 - USD50 for 1000 words, what sort of content you referring to?

i am considering to mass hire physical goods products reviewer

On average 30-40 USD for good content and 10-15 USD for fillers.

If you get writers from UpWork, fees are usually included in their prices so you will pay a premium just because of the platform. If you use an agency for content writing the price can even double because you're again.. paying premium for their operational costs.

It is hard to find an affordable writer with a rate below 30usd per 1k words. US writer require an minimum rate at 60 per 1k.

I pay 30 usd per 1000 words for native english content.

I recently paid for review article $3 per 100 word

I do orders of minimum 10k words and pay between 25-50 per k

$30-50 per 1k words from a decent native English writer is about the right ballpark figure. More if you are paying for a specialist in the particular field.

The majority of writers though are just general topic writers.

Ease of readability should be a firm priority. Using sophisticated words doesn't necessarily make the content stand out.

You can find plenty of content writers here on BHW marketplace as well. As for managing all of them, just get a VA.

That is indeed a common rate, but it is also common to find US writers charging much less then $60/1k.

@OP Anything from $10/1k (for non-native content) to $100/1k (knowledgeable/professional niche writers) is common.
I personally don't hire many writers anymore though.
