I am looking into starting content writing and I was wondering if any of you guys could share how many sales you get from the marketplace. I am trying to decide between writing here or writing on fiverr. Thanks.

$xx.xxx in sales, but I wasn't selling articles. You will have a lot of competitors both here and at Fiverr

Not going to be of any use to you unless you tell us which audience segment you're targeting.

Personally I don't have as many sales as someone selling content for 2$ per 500 words, but then again, my business model is not churning out average quality day in day out.

You've got competition both here and on Fiverr, so do yourself a favour and try both. More places to sell, more people to see what you sell, more likely to sell.
 
Try both platforms.

Here's a tip: on Fiverr, you increase your chances of getting orders if you post a video on your service description page. Posting samples helps quite a bit too.
