Since I do reverse-engineer my competitors, I would charge probably only 50% of what top agencies would charge.
But that comes with a caveat though.
Since a lot of this is going to involve fine-tuning and tweaking on a trial-and-error basis, it's going to take some time.
The key to effective SEO is to pay close attention to actual user behavior.
I'm not just talking about whether there's traffic or not.
I'm talking about the pages that are getting traffic and how we can extrapolate data from that user behavior in terms of our overall content strategy and internal linking.
Also, I would charge a lower amount because I don't build backlinks.
Now, this is a deal killer for a lot of people, but personally, I focus on the content.
I'm sure you're going to come across a lot of people who are saying that SEO is all about links.
There's definitely that school of thought.
But if you want your site to not only rank well but stay up in the rankings over an extended period of time, it's a good idea to do things the white hat way.
That means getting the right piece of content in front of the right eyeballs.
